1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how FreightBid LLC ("FreightBid," "we," "our," or "us") collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information about users of the freightbid.io website and Platform (the "Service"). It applies to:

  • Shippers who create accounts and use the Platform to issue RFQs and compare quotes;
  • Brokers and Carriers who submit quotes (whether through registered accounts or no-login submission links);
  • Visitors to the FreightBid website.

This policy complies with the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act (VCDPA), Colorado Privacy Act (CPA), Connecticut Data Privacy Act (CTDPA), Texas Data Privacy and Security Act (TDPSA), Oregon Consumer Privacy Act (OCPA), and other applicable state privacy laws.

2. Data We Collect

2.1 Account Information

If you create a FreightBid account, we collect: email address, first and last name, company name, job title, phone number (optional), password (encrypted), and account preferences.

2.2 RFQ and Quote Data

  • Shippers: Shipment origin/destination, equipment type, weight, special handling instructions, commodity description, service dates, shipper-provided notes.
  • Brokers/Carriers: Quote pricing, equipment offered, capacity, service terms, company regulatory authority status, broker/carrier representative name and email.

2.3 No-Login Quote Submissions

When a Broker or Carrier uses a quote-submission link without creating an account, we collect: quote content, email address or contact info (if provided), IP address, timestamp, browser type, operating system, device ID, and quote-submission link access history.

2.4 Website and Platform Usage

Pages visited, features used, time spent, search queries, RFQ and quote actions, browser type, operating system, IP address, device identifiers, and referrer URL.

2.5 Platform Usage Data

When you use FreightBid, we collect and process data generated through your use of the platform, including but not limited to:

  • RFQ Data: Request details, cargo specifications, lane information, and submission metadata.
  • Quote & Pricing Data: Broker responses, quoted rates, awarded amounts, and historical lane pricing.
  • Broker Performance Data: Response times, quote frequency, award rates, and scorecard metrics.
  • Product Knowledge Base Data: Cargo specs, facility details, and compliance requirements you store in your account.
  • Usage Patterns: Feature usage, session activity, and workflow interactions.

We use platform data to provide and improve the FreightBid service, generate analytics and insights available to you through your shipper dashboard (e.g., lane pricing trends, broker performance comparisons), maintain platform reliability and security, and develop new features and improve existing functionality.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your data to third parties. Aggregated, anonymized data may be used to improve platform-wide features, but your individual shipment details, broker relationships, and pricing data are never shared with other users or external parties without your explicit consent.

2.6 Payment Information

Credit card and billing address information is collected and processed by Stripe, our payment processor. FreightBid does not store full credit card details; Stripe tokenizes and encrypts payment data.
